What is Off the Chain?
Off the Chain is a cycling studio with state of the art equipment, stadium style seating, top notch instructors, high technology to track your performance and motivate you toward achieving your
fitness goals.
How long are the classes?
At OTC our standard ride is 45 minutes, we also have 30 minute express classes as well as the occasional 60 minute ride.
Do I need any special shoes?
It is recommended that if you ride more than 2-3 times a week a pair of spin shoes could improve your performance and provide proper stability and form. Our bikes have flip flop pedals that support regular tennis shoes or SPD compatible cleats.
Are there different levels of class difficulty?
OTC instructors strive to make every individual feel successful at the end of their ride! Each class is for all levels, although an occasional “Challenge or Beast Mode” Ride may show up on the schedule for those seasoned cyclists or someone looking for a new challenge.
Will I be able to keep up?
No worries! With Spivi Studio the road keeps all the riders in the same general area so there is no feeling of being left behind. Keep in mind we all start from a point and each class is your own battle! What is Off the Chain?
I'm new. Where do I start?
Welcome! First, sign up to create an account. Check out our instructors and schedule, find the perfect fit to begin your Off the Chain experience.
How do I buy classes?
Click buy rides at the top of the page. Once you select the membership you desire, the site will walk you through your purchase and you are on your way! You can also purchase rides via the OTC website or at the studio.
What age do I have to be?
The bikes fit height of 4’11” – 6’8” and weight of up to 300 lbs. Riders under 18 must have a signed waiver from a parent or guardian.
When should I arrive?
We recommend at least 15 mins prior to your ride. This will give you time to set up your bike or get assistance from the instructor. Arrive a little earlier for your first ride so we can show you around the studio and introduce you to our technology.
Can I ride if I'm pregnant?
Yes! In fact, we recommend that moms-to-be take our classes. Consult with your doctor to get the clear.
How do I host a private ride or event?
Contact OTC by phone, email or come in and see us! We will be happy to assist.
Do I have to reserve a bike in advance?
It’s not necessary but for popular classes advanced booking is suggested.
Will I lose my spot if I'm late?
Nope.
What if I want to cancel my membership?
If you need to inquire about membership cancellation, call the studio at 443-787-4667 15 days prior to next billing cycle.
Inclement Weather
When Harford County Public Schools are canceled or delayed, all morning classes prior to 10:00 am are canceled. 9 o’clock for the 530, 7am for 9oclock, 10 am for 12 and by 2 for evening classes. Notify VIA email, post to social media accounts and on schedule.
